My response to the concerns about conflict between Israel and Palestine in the Masafer Yatta region.
Thank you for bringing the issue of the Masafer Yatta to my attention.
I am deeply concerned about the report regarding the situation in Masafer Yatta, which highlights the challenges faced by the Palestinian communities in the area, including the risk of displacement.
The Government has assured me that it is closely monitoring the situation in the region and is committed to finding a lasting and fair solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The government is aware of the attack carried out in Jenin, on the occupied West Bank. The government is concerned over the continued use of force and continue to call on Israel to abide by international law. The people of Jenin have our sympathies and we advocate for swift investigations.
We share in supporting the two-state solution, which would see a safe and secure Israel living alongside a viable and independent Palestine.
