I was pleased to join Greenpeace UK to hear the stories of fishermen against destructive fishing in Marine Protected Areas.
One such compelling voice was that of Martin, a local fisherman from Newhaven.
Like many other fishermen along the south coast, he’s on the front line of this crisis and shared his grave experience of the situation we are facing.
Industrial fishing vessels like fly-shooters are destroying our marine ecosystems and leaving fishing communities on the brink of collapse.
Fish and fishermen are suffering.
We need action now before it is too late.
